This is fair because he desperately needs a starting QB, and although Brunell didn't start the second half of the year, he will still be 79-82 which is better than Derek Anderson. He plans to move Redding to DE and start him there. So that is two starters for a late first and late 2nd.

This is a good example of not exact value, but team needs coming into play. If your starting QB is Derek Anderson, this move makes sense because Brunell is better than someone you can get in the second round like John Beck. If he is going to start Redding at DE, thats another starter right there. IMO, this is fair.

Its still not a horrible value trade either...if we were in the real world, yes, I would burn this trade down...but being that its not real world, I can live with this trade...
