- Ok. Some of you seem a little confused as I can see. What you all fail and continue not to realize, is Yan and I can step in. You think by voting on this you are gonna be able to say well Trade Mod said its ok. Trade Mods make mistakes to, as do Admin, but if we feel something doesnt look good, then I will say something. Patstown your really funny with the comment you made. So what if I ask whoever to PM about a trade. Whats wrong with it? Nothing, so get over it and find something else to complain about.
I'm personally sick of this crap. You all are fine and dandy when trades are geting approved, but when it doesn't people wanna starting crying and complaing. Grow up seriously. We said there would be more leeway, but you can only expect so much. I am all for letting teams better themseleves, but not at the EXPENSE OF ANOTHER TEAM ONLY GETTING WORSE!
I'm gonna say something when someone offers up a part time player, for a guy that is good and produces.
And whats with this comparison to the NFL and what Roger Godell says about trades? So what if a team makes bad trades. Noway? Because the crap barely happens. You think real NFL teams trade away superstars for craps? NO. So how about following that trend. If people were more thoughtful in what they were trading for, then we wouldn't have a problem. Most of you go by the name of the Players.
Start doing research and maybe trading would be much better.
Drew Hey, little buddy drew...may be I wasn't trying to be funny, I was simply pointing something out(how the system right now has no organization or formula to approving a trade.)...there are plenty of trades where no1 even has a clue who approved it and why. Which then inturn causes you to want to find out, which is fine....does that not seem a bit unorganized? Sure you and Yan can step in if you feel a trade is lopsided, but with the new system I doubt there will be many lopsided trades going through when multiple ppl with great knowledge are voting on it...and if one does, then hell, feel free to step in. Lots of times there are people who are involved in a trade where for example, Drew says yes, Cavs_fan says yes, Lebron argues no, and so on and so forth...the people actually involved in the trade don't know what to think, is it approved or not? with the system it simply puts in a formula where there will be no mysteries of "is it approved or not?", or even who approved it...everyone will know exactly who voted yes and who voted no and then in turn know if thier trade has gone through or not...and if there is a trade that you(drew and or yan) think is absoutley unfair and can't get approved then you have the right to step in. The new system does not hurt anything, it just gives everyone clear cut answers and puts forth a solid formula. Matt |

| First of all, I am slightly confused what the "new system" is. Secondly, I have an idea. Unless it is really unfair, mods/admins should just give an explanation why, and then leave it to the people whose trade it is to see if they still agree. |

Niemo, what happened in our trade was drew told me i was getting screwed on AIM, then explained it to me. Then I realized he was right, so i disagreed. So they can give an explanation, but the other side is still willing to take it, then it should be approved. |

The new system would b either 3 or 5 members in the trade council..after a trade is completed they would hav a vote..yes its fine or no it needs work. If the majority (2 in a 3 person council, or 3 in a 5 person council) say yes its fine..then the trade goes through as is. If the vote is no it needs works, the members and ONLY the members in the trade council can add input on what they think is wrong with the trade and SUGGESTING what to add and take out of the deal. After their suggestions if both partys still agree to the original deal, the deal must go through as is. The trade council would be using the TRADES post in the LEAGUE DISCUSSION thread as a guideline to determine what deals are fair or not. | |

I think other people should be allowed to include input and suggestions other than the trade mods, but I agree with the voting thing. |

| its like a representative democracy. if this idea works, we should have private pm voting for a trade council. |

| so sox, basically there is a group of guys, that vote on a particular trade. like they can vote if it should be passed, cancelled etc. if the trade is cancelled, only the group of people that voted (the council), can make suggestions on how to make the deal fair. if the two GMs trading think thhe deal is fair, and dont want to chenge it, the trade goes thru as it originally was posted.
it basically gives less power to the mods. |

or we could just use the poll system again we should keep it private, so we dont start arguments and trash talking about who got the most votes. |
